Lee McGarr, a retired pilot and federal whistleblower, is an author with a substantial body of work that is meticulously researched and rich in evidence, exposing corruption within the Federal Government. His primary goal is to shed light on the hidden truths behind the scenes. In his book, Unjust: Precipitant of Greed, Lee offers an unvarnished view of the shadowy realm of corruption.
What inspired you to write this book?
In February of 2012 I was called to Washington D.C. to testify as to the fraud and criminal activity that was occurring at the FAA that I had filed numerous complaints on with the DOT/OIG. Upon my return, the retribution against me went off scale. Everything you could imagine, a rigged aircraft to kill myself and my crew, death threats, windows broken out of my personal auto, a hangman’s noose hanging on a wet floor sign setting on my desk and the list goes on and on. I was terminated in 2014 after being placed on administrative leave for slightly over six months and my flight physical was removed and I was forced to have numerous psychiatric evaluations. Each one returned the same, “Mr. McGarr is normal for a pilot.”
My flight medical was withheld until after I turned sixty-five years of age and could no longer fly commercially. I located an attorney who was honest and in 2014 we filed an exemplary damage lawsuit against the Federal government that was quickly dismissed by a Federal Judge in the Western district of Oklahoma on a technicality that as my attorney stated we could easily defeat, but it would continue and if we were ever to be paid, it would be a very long time. After all of this, he told me that “… your only approach at this time is to write a book as to all that has transpired.” He unfortunately had an untimely passing in 2019 that is very suspicious. That is why I wrote my first book, What Difference Does it Make’ When the Truth No Longer Matters to our Government.
After writing my first book, I had a gentleman seek me out with a very similar story and he asked me if I would write his story? After I completed my second book UNFIT, I began to research (investigate) him and found that all he had told me was true and he and I, for the most part we were living parallel lives. My third book The Dividing of America, primarily about him was completed in 2020 and my latest book, UNJUST was completed in January of 2022.
Both of us have personally been confronted by exceedingly corrupt Judges and government officials.
Can you tell me about the book?
My book UNJUST, walks the reader through events that we/I have seen, investigated, or been associated and\or experienced, from completely unlawful court actions to murders conducted by hired hitmen that were actually hired by Judges, the head of the Oklahoma Bar Association and the list goes on and on. Being sold out by corrupt attorneys who were paid to protect one’s rights to law enforcement who attempt to hide events and then finally, when a police report surfaces, it has the incorrect date, time, and description of the victim.
Peoples lives have been completely turned upside down and the Justice system turns a blind eye or actually refuses to allow a jury to hear the facts as it would point total guilt toward the Mob, as I refer to them. I have included total documentation to validate all that I have stated. As I was told, without such documentation, I would think it to be totally a fictional story.
What did you learn when writing the book?
When my attorney, who passed in 2019, told me to write about all that had transpired, my response to him was “I have no idea how to write a book.” He then told me, “You are never too old to learn.” I found that when I first began, my mind would drift, and I would lose focus. When I explained to him what was occurring, he told me to always carry a pad and pen and when something came to mind that I wanted to write about, make a note. It did wonders! My first book took over three years to make it happen. My second book just over a year, then my third and fourth around ten months each.
What surprised you the most?
I suppose the most surprising event was when I finally saw my first work in print and it brought all that had happened to me back in living color, so as to speak.
What does the title mean?
The title of my books all tells a story. UNJUST, Precipitant of Greed states the problem and the causal factor that leads us, a nation, down a very poor path. As I stated in this book, it will lead to a place where very few will win and an entire nation that loses.
What did the subjects of the book think of it?
Since I am one of the two principals whom this book is about, I find it very disturbing how our government has grown out of it bounds and why Mr. Thomas Jefferson warned us repeatedly as to what would happen.
People who also have read this and know about many of the events are thrilled to see action finally being taken to attempt to restore our nation to its righteous path. Issues that law enforcement have simply swept under the carpet for years, they are now having to take action and go after the perpetrator. We are also seeing high level officials resign/retire to avoid the limelight.
What are the subjects doing now? What ended up happening?
Both myself and Mr. Poindexter are fighting to survive and get the message out. For myself, I lost all I had worked and lived for. My family, my family farm, all the years I had flown, prevented me from flying again, and destroyed (stole) my retirement and savings. Mr. Poindexter is still struggling to hold on to his family and his land. With him, they are even taking shots at his children. Both of us are diligently to restore justice and to attempt to get career politicians and government workers who are corrupt removed.
Did the book make you like the subject more or less?
Had all of this never occurred I would have most likely never written this genre of book or any other book. As I was told in a comment on Amazon regarding my books, “… had there not been documents to back all that was stated, I would have thought it a fictional story.”
To specifically answer your question, I have a much deeper appreciation now for true crime books and those who lived through the crime as the victim.
Did you find yourself more or less sympathetic toward the subject?
To that question I must state that I have great sympathy to those who are trapped by criminals and no sympathy what-so-ever for those who perpetuate such or any crimes against people solely to destroy their lives and steal their wealth.
Do you understand the subject better now?
Writing this and my other books gives me a very clear understanding of how a system goes wrong and will eventually fail if left unchecked.
