What inspired you to write this book? Gigy was an inspiration behind the story I shared. My second inspiration was my cousin’s wife. She encouraged me to write this book. Gigy came unexpectedly into my life. She brought a lot of joy. Throughout my life experiences, I have learned that a simple act of kindness can change someone’s life for the better even in the smallest situations in life.
I felt I have to share the underlying message in this book.
Can you tell me about the book? It was a profound love toward an animal.
Sometimes in life there are twists and turns that can lead to unplanned events. It is indescribable feeling that we can let love lead us to do work for a higher good. The outcome might not always be what we hoped for, however, as long as it was done with good attention is all that matters. Saving Gigy will take you on a journey, where a reader can realize that an act of kindness matters even in the smallest situations in life.
What did you learn when writing the book? I learned how important is to believe in myself, and how important is to move forward with your message because it might inspire someone else. I learned the importance of forgiveness. I learned not to judge.
What surprised you the most? How one’s story can become a book.
What does the title mean? Some titles are self-explanatory. Saving Gigy, means it was my mission to do it. That’s how it felt at the time.
What did the subject(s) of the book think of it? They all supported me and in the end, some of them told me to write about it.
What are the subject(s) doing now? Not to give away the ending, I encourage a reader to read Saving Gigy.
Many of them are still in my life.
Did the book make you like the subject(s) more or less? It didn’t affect me like them more or less after I learned to forgive.
Did you find yourself more or less sympathetic toward the subject(s)? Not really.
Do you understand the subject(s) better now? Yes, because forgiveness opens the door to greater love.
